"BLAIR’S BORDER CHOPS"
4- 8OZ. Boneless butterfly pork chops
2- Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
2- Tablespoons butter.
1- cup chicken broth
Joe Blair’s Chili Dog Spice
Coat chops with Chili Dog Spice. Heat olive oil and butter in over safe frying pan. If you don’t have an oven safe frying pan have a 6 x 9 inch oven pan ready. Brown chops over high heat about 3-minutes per side. After browned pour chicken broth over chops and transfer to a 350 degree preheated oven. Bake for 30-minutes. Remove chops and reseason with spice to taste. Serve with you choice of veggies and starch.
"GRINGO BURGERS"
2 lbs. Ground Chuck
½ cup maple syrup
1-Tablespoon salt
1-Tablespoon pepper
4-Tablespoons Joe Blair’s Chili Dog Spice
Put ground chuck into mixing bowl. Season with salt, pepper and 3 tablespoons of the Chili Dog Spice. Sprinkle evenly over the top of the ground beef. Then pour the maple syrup evenly over the top of beef. Mix with hands into the ground chuck. After mixing divide into four equal portions and form patties. Reseason the patties on both sides with the remaining tablespoon of Chili Dog Spice.
Grill on high heat, 8-minutes per side for medium. Great with melted cheese for Gringo Cheese burgers. The sweet of the syrup and the savory of Joe Blair’s Chili Dog Spice really pops with flavor.
